Job Description


Contact Center TemporaryTraining Assistant Overview:


The TemporaryTraining Assistant is primarily responsible for assisting the Trainers in facilitating the training program to our new hire trainees and current employees. Assist the nesting trainees and coaching/up-training associates. The successful candidate will be customer centric and have experience in coaching material for adult learners in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities Include:


  • Facilitate classroom style training on products, sales and customers service techniques, enhancements, etc. for all new and tenured associates as needed
  • Develop and maintain training tools, including worksheets, templates, databases and reports
  • Facilitate role play sessions
  • Manage testing and performance for all sale’s new hires while in training
  • Monitor trainees' knowledge before and after training to help determine follow-up training required
  • Utilize established curriculum and assist in developing new educational materials
  • Be the subject matter expert and handle calls related to your training alongside your trainees as required
  • Provides individual coaching and motivation to trainees on progress and performance
  • Ensures seamless transition to the Contact Center production floor
  • Perform other related duties as assigned


Qualifications: Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong Internet and computer literacy skills in MSFT Word, Excel, Outlook, Access
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills in a multicultural environment
  • Flexible with schedule to accommodate working in a 24x7 environment and international time zones

The Education/Experience Preferred:


  • High School Diploma/GED (Associates Degree preferred)
  • 6 months Training/Facilitation Experience (within a contact center environment)
  • Exemplary Attendance Records with Previous Employers
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen upon offer
  • Must be a current Cortland Employee

Cortland Performance Requirements:


  • No PIPS above CD in the last 3 months

  • Attendance/Absenteeism Requirement = Below 15%

  • 6 weeks of performance scorecard met = Above 85%


Please note, this is a temporary position. If selected:

  • You will remain at your current pay for the next few months,but will be trained as a group for 3 hours every Friday to prepare for your Temp Training Assistant position. 

  • If you are used to facilitate any client mandated upskill training prior to the new hire classes, you will be paid $1.00 more per hour while facilitating that upskill training.

  • Once you begin training your assigned classes in ramp for new hire training, you will be given $19.50 per hour while you are actively facilitating new hire classes.

  • Once you have completed your assigned classes there is potential to be offered to move into a TL role, but this is contingent upon meeting performance & requirements during the Temp Training role.
